KROSSDOK
A logistics board game. For school students, college students, or business professionals. Learn to manage a supply chain and experience real business at the game table.
A bit of history about the KROSSDOK game
Our logistics game first saw the light of day back in 2016. One day, we decided to show our children what we do at work. Phrases like "We buy goods," "They are delivered by different modes of transport," "There are plenty of risks, but also opportunities along the way," and "We need to deliver the order, or we'll lose customers" turned into the outline of the game you see today. The initial drafts of the game now seem primitive, but they mark the beginning of the first logistics board game, KROSSDOK.

KROSSDOK: Online Logistics Game
We adapt KROSSDOK to any changes in our world, just as supply chains quickly evolve to meet customer demands. Despite numerous limitations, we found a way to play KROSSDOK online. Clients from different cities and even countries can meet at the same table to play KROSSDOK, discuss in a video chat the risks they've encountered in real life, and how they successfully overcame them. We know how to organize this format of corporate teamwork as well.

What our colleagues say
Novosibirsk State Technical University
Just yesterday, we held a KROSSDOK game session with second-year students! 😍 We think there’s no need for us to tell you about it ourselves when we can share the emotions of our students. 🥰
"Everything was great, the game was interesting, and the rules were unique. In the future, I wanted to choose logistics as my field. After playing this game, I realized that I want to become a logistician even more. I’d love to see more topics related to logistics and supply chains. Thank you for this practical experience! 🥰"
"It's quite an unusual experiment, a practical exercise where you can see how this field works in a game format. Yes, we saw it in a very simplified way, but it was fun, unique, and engaging throughout the process. I liked it! 😄 I would be happy to have more such activities. 🥰"
"It was very interesting to gain experience in a game where completely different people find the best solutions and compromise on a common goal. Such games lighten up student life. I really enjoyed it!! Thank you for this opportunity 🥰 It was also great that senior students were present in the game, helping us 'open our eyes' and see things from a different perspective with a different approach. 🤍"
This is what the students shared with us! We really love and appreciate each of our students. 🤍

Trans-Baikal Institute of Railway Transport (ZabIZhT), Senior Lecturer of the "Transportation Process Management" Department
The game "Krossdok" allows you to view railway transportation as a transport business. Immersion in the game vividly demonstrates that customers are very important participants in the transportation process. They can be not only small or medium-sized enterprises but also large multinational corporations and even governments. In the game, participants take on the roles of commercial companies scattered around the world and work toward one goal—how to attract customers to their services, deliver them on time, and with the highest level of service.
During the game, students begin to realize the importance of components such as forecasting, planning, procurement, storage, inventory management, transportation, and cargo return. These are closely interconnected links in the supply chain, where the "weakness" of one link immediately and always negatively affects the reliability of the entire chain. Moreover, the game teaches students how to select a company—shipper, determine delivery methods and transportation schemes, and choose routes. They learn about the specifics of concluding transportation contracts, processing transport documents, customs procedures, the advantages and disadvantages of different types of transport, and more.

Game-based learning as part of effective specialist training remains significant. Now, thanks to the director of the A.P. Rudnev Scientific and Production Complex, M.E. Skrebkov, this popular teaching method will be fully available to our students specializing in 38.02.03 "Operational Activities in Logistics"!
We have the opportunity to play the wonderful board game "Krossdok," which focuses on supply chain management. This game will make the training of logistics professionals even more engaging and effective. Its use in the educational process will positively impact the competencies of our graduating students.

What rules are used to choose a supplier, what risks do companies face along the way, how much does it cost to deliver goods from point A to point B, and how can you do this while still making a profit—these are the challenges that students from the "Zvezdny" College, group 362, specializing in "Commerce (by industries)," tried to solve in practice during the KROSSDOK Logistics game.
The game took place as part of the practical training for the professional module "Organization of Trade and Sales Management" (instructors A.Yu. Osipova and T.A. Filatova).

The trial implementation of the game format using the "KROSSDOK" game was successfully carried out at the Moscow College of Railway Transport as part of the business program of the university championship of the Russian University of Transport (MIIT) according to WorldSkills standards in 2019. It was also used during the study of certain disciplines at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). There is accumulated positive experience in conducting training in game format at enterprises and extracurricular activities in schools.
The game allows participants to simulate and vividly see the process of delivering goods from point A to point B, feel the intensity of the work, and understand that success depends on every team member. When the instructor acts as the facilitator, it adds an extra "bonus" to the teacher's authority and increases interest in the subject being studied.

The game moderator explains:
  • The board game Krossdok "Supply Chain Management" brings students closer to real-world production situations that occur during the delivery of goods. Students must choose the optimal type of transport based on cost and load capacity, allocate tasks among executors, build optimal routes for them, monitor the progress of work, and make adjustments as needed.
  • The game includes risks that can negatively affect the delivery outcome, but there are also risks that can improve the player's (organization's) position. The winner is the one who manages to deliver the goods with the lowest delivery costs to the designated store (customer). There are no winners or losers, but there is a group of students who will undoubtedly continue to build their professionalism.
University students
Conclusion: By completing this practical assignment, I had the opportunity to play the Krossdok game and, based on the game, analyze key aspects. The answers to the four questions are provided in a detailed manner, with each one being well-founded and supported by examples. The information I used was obtained during my second year of studies, which is why completing this practical assignment was interesting. Each question implies a clear answer, and all of them are interconnected, which made the exercise very informative.
Mr Sukharev
State university
On October 19th, in a series of business games, part-time students who came from all over the country for their fifth session had the opportunity to gain experience in organizing logistics flows across an entire country (in the "Krossdok" game) and then to build a supply chain (in the classic game for many generations of logisticians, "The Beer Game").

Both games were organized as part of the course "Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Projects," taught by the innovative instructor V.V. Sukharev.

In the board game "KROSSDOK," students learned to optimize logistics flows across the country, calculate cargo delivery risks, and outmaneuver competitors to maximize their profits by correctly organizing the flows.

Even in school (or college), pay attention to mathematics and computer science. ✔ Develop analytical thinking by playing chess. ✔ Simulation games that require you to build logistics and economic processes in an airport, store, or entire city (such as "Krossdok" - a logistics game https://krossdok.ru/) can help you get closer to the profession.
Quantorium-28
Throughout the week, teams attended classes and various activities organized by the teachers of the "Quantorium-28" children's technopark in Svobodny and the Svobodny Children's Railway. The students participated in the "Krossdok" logistics game, the safety awareness game "Railway WITHOUT Danger," the "Team Building" training, and lectures with practical sessions on the professions "Sorting Yard Operator" and "Locomotive Engineer." They also engaged in a career orientation game "Spacecraft," learned about the profession of track maintenance, practiced on a VR simulator, and attended several workshops, such as on receiving and dispatching trains on a simulation DSP/DNC trainer, as well as workshops at the "IT-Cube" center in Svobodny.
Mrs Mikhaleva
Summer camp
At the SAF Summer School, the students engaged in the logistics game "Krossdok," led by Yulia Sergeevna Mikhaleva, the director of a logistics company. The game helped the students understand the processes of delivering goods, appreciate the importance of logistics work, and have fun. Group work on project development and presentation continued, and on the last day of the session, the students will present the results of their work to the competition committee.

Events
The Krossdok logistics board game is an excellent idea for a corporate event or an educational program presentation. Our team of experienced professionals will prepare and conduct the game, organizing an event that is not only entertaining but also valuable, one that participants will remember and discuss for a long time. We can also train your educational institution or corporate university to conduct the game, reducing your costs. Order the training once, and then you can professionally work with the Krossdok logistics game.
Career orientation in logistics for school students is another objective that the Krossdok game successfully achieves. You can vividly demonstrate the excitement of logistics and supply chain management to students starting from the 7th grade, helping them learn about the field of logistics. Apart from the Krossdok game, there’s no other way for a school student to learn about logistics.*
